We should add here that our personal record for ferry travel is to visit 4 Islands (ARRAN, GIGHA, BUTE, CUMBRAE) using 14 Ferry Terminals and 8 different vessels in one day.

We typically visit  between 15 and 20 distilleries annually. We add any new distilleries we visit to this list.   

We update our Social media  on the day with the distillery we are visiting and any other relevant information

( Dram good whisky that we find )   and photographs.

Whisky Terms

​

Dram - A dram is the traditional Scotch Whisky measure, often affectionately referred to as a “wee” dram. There is no clear definition of how big or small a dram is.

 

The Angels share - The alcohol that is lost due to evaporation during maturation in the cask. This can be around 2% per year.
