THE MACALLAN - A Night on Earth First Release

INAUGURAL RELEASE BOTTLE
The Macallan, a Night on Earth is the first release in this series from this world class distillery.
Bottled for Scotland's 2021 Hogmanay celebration, ie to celebrate bringing  in 2022 in style. 
Erica Dorn designed the artwork & Sarah Burgess (lead whisky Maker) encapsulated the flavours that reminded her of her new year celebrations in her Speyside home over many years. 
This non age statement single malt was bottled at 40% abv, 700ml. 
DGSM were extremely fortunate to find this limited release edition in May 2023 in the HIghlands of Scotland, apparently 2  or 3 bottles had been put aside and forgotten about. (we have 2 bottles available). This would be an obvious starting point for this collection as there are only 3 bottles in the series to date.
Matured in both Bourbon & sherry casks and listed as a limited edition.
 
Tasting Notes - Nose... vanilla, Butterscotch, Baked apple, baking biscuits,
                                          Plum & Apple.
                           Palate.... Soft velvety sweetness reminiscent of shortbread with
                                          a rich  mouth coating, vanilla sweetness, lightly toasted
                                          marshmallows,  dried oranges, fig & cinnamon.
                           Finish... Medium finish with sweet butterscotch & freshly baked
                                            biscuits.
