Longrow Red 11 2022

Here we have another absolutely outstanding 2022 release from the Springbank Distillery.
The heavily peated Longrow Red 11 year old was in great demand at the time of it's release. So much so that on many occasions retailers were asking customers to enter into a ballot for the chance to own a bottle.
DGSM were fortunate that we were able to source this bottle without entering a ballot.
The malt is dried with peat smoke for up to 48 hours in order to give the spirit it's Campbeltown smoky character.
Matured for  seven years in Bourbon casks and for an additional four years in Fresh Tawny Port casks. 
A relatively low outurn of only 8,400 bottles explains why demand was so high.
Bottled at a lovely cask strength of 57.5% abv.
The Tawny Port cask adds a rich, fruity depth to Longrow's signature oily, peated style.
