BOWMORE 19 yr old SINGLE CASK

 This is an absolute stormer of an Islay Bowmore single cask whisky with the added distinction of spending 30 months ( March 2020 until Autumn 2022 ) in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask.
A single cask containing  276 unpeated bottles of Islay whisky which in itself is a joy and then to add a sherry influence, flavour heaven.
Cadenhead's, Scotlands oldest independent bottler have taken charge of the maturation of this whisky and it looks like they've done a mighty fine job. 
Distilled in 2003 into a bourbon cask, March 2020 re-casked into a Px sherry cask and bottled in Autumn 2022. Unfortunately we can't tie the bottling date down to an exact month which annoyed us as we'd have liked that extra bit of information.  The tasting notes on the bottle can be seen in the second picture. We found some others we liked as well...
 
Tasting Notes
Nose.... Sea buckthorn yoghurt, old leather armchair & fresh tobacco. Some Cloves and peppermint as a spice,  delicious & unusual.
Palate ... The same aromas from the nose are soft & smooth on the palate, very well balanced with some salt & honey.
Finish... a long lingering finish on the Palate.
